Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEMIL J. PITTNER On April 10, 2004 at the Grace Hospital, after many years of Diabetes related illness, Emil does not suffer any more. Born on January 1, 1928 in Unterturtz, Slovakia, Emil went to Germany after the Second World War and met his wife of 53 years, Friedl. They immigrated to Canada in 1952. Emil was a high pressure welder and trailer mechanic and his last job was with Kleysen Transport. Emil was predeceased by his parents Thomas and Johanna Pittner in Germany. He is survived by his wife Friedl; his children Roland, Tom (Linda), Karin (David), and Randy (Margie) grandchildren, Jessica, Kristin, Aaron, Hailee and Larissa; great-grandchildren Taylor and Cheynne. He is also survived by many extended family members in Germany and Switzerland. Rest in peace Dad. Cremation has taken place and Emil wished to have a private family service. If friends so desire, a donation in lieu of flowers can be made to the Kidney Foundation 730 Taylor Ave, Winnipeg, MB R3M 2K8 or the Canadian Diabetes Association, 102-310 Broadway Ave, Winnipeg, MB R3C 0S6.
